Generalities

The Site does not process any particularly sensitive data.

To provide the best possible security, the Site always processes your personal data by transmitting them in encrypted form. Encryption is provided by the use of SSL/TLS technology with keys certified by “ Let's Encrypt ".

The data collected by the Site is accessible to the Data Controller and to The subcontractors following:

  • Host: IBS (Institute of Structural Biology) 71 Avenue des Martyrs, 38000 Grenoble (centre integrated into the FR3050 federation),

No other subcontractor has access to the server or to the interfaces allowing the personal data collected in the active database of the Site to be displayed.

Tracers (Cookies)

The Site uses Cookies for technical reasons uniquely. They allow the provision of the service expressly requested by the User, ie the secure consultation of a non-commercial site including protected areas.

The session Cookie necessary for the operation of the system (content manager) is destroyed once the session has expired, or when the User leaves his browser.

Apart from these cookies, the site does not store or transmit any cookies that may contain your personal data.

 

Approval Requests

In order to allow the provision of the service expressly requested by the User, i.e. the secure consultation of a non-commercial site including protected areas, the Site records in logs information relating to invalid connection attempts. , errors (browsing, loading, form submission, etc.) development information such as the use of outdated applications and actions of logged-in users on site administration.

Logs of blocked attacks are also maintained by various system components, including anti-virus and firewall software.

In order to be relevant, the information recorded in the logs includes the User's IP address and timestamp information. In the absence of cross-referencing with other processing allowing the more precise identification of Users, the collection of information for the Site's logs does not require the User's consent.

Data associated with events recorded in the logs is automatically deleted after 90 days, except for those relating to blocked attacks which are kept indefinitely for security reasons.

Information collected when creating a user account

Personal and professional data are systematically collected when creating the user's account:

  • Title, Gender, Surname and First Name and Nationality
  • ORCID identification code
  • Email Address
  • Telephone, Fax
  • Address and Unit code of the Laboratory or User Institution

After validation of his account, the Registered User can access a “My Data” page allowing him to exercise his rights relating to the use of his data.

This information is kept for a maximum of three years from its collection or the last confirmation of consent from the User, after which it is made anonymous (replaced by random character strings) if it is not associated with no scientific project submitted or evaluated by the user.

Information collected when submitting a scientific project proposal

Personal and professional data (contact information, ORCID identification code, etc.) are collected when submitting a scientific project, in particular following the import of information from the user account in optional fields or mandatory. These data are collected for administrative purposes and to be consulted later in the context of access to public data resulting from research.
In accordance with the Federation's data policy, a user's account and personal data associated with the filing or management of a project or several projects will not be deleted or anonymized. This account and these data will remain associated with all the experimental data constituting the scientific projects carried out, managed or evaluated by the user and this data may be transmitted to third parties, in particular in the context of access to public data.

Information Collected When Submitting a Post

Contact information is collected when sending a publication:

  • Last name and first name

  • Email Address

  • Phone

This information is transmitted to the data controller only so that he can contact the user if necessary. These data are not stored.

Information collected when registering for an event

The User's name and email address are systematically collected when registering for an event.
This information is kept for a maximum of three years from its collection.
